Mardi Gras 2015

This year (our 4th overseas Mardi Gras) our party spilled out of the house onto the patio. The weather cooperated and the food and drinks flowed. About 75 friends, kids, co-workers, neighbors joined us for a fun night of revelry.

Hurricanes, king cakes, shrimp etouffee, gumbo, veggies, sides, gooey butter cake, sugar cookies, beer, wine, meatballs, dips, chips, cheeses, Pate (flown in by a French friend), lemonade and more - the kitchen counters overflowed and the trash kept on a fillin'.

About 15 kids ran amok, while adults visited and mingled into the evening. Mardi Gras was held a week early, to not interfere with Malta's Carnival next weekend, as we did last year also.
