In all honesty, the girls travel very well. They were great on the trip, but they are still kids. Borneo is an amazing place and one that I hope to see again with older kids (or kidless). I can truly imagine that one could get fully and completely lost just 10 feet from a road. The jungle there is immense and pristine. The ocean there is immense and pristine. We really never saw much of either. We did see a lot of hotel rooms and pools and malls.

We spent most of our time in Kota Kinabalu, on the island of Borneo in the state of Sabah. We had a lot of pool and beach time and plenty of naps. Our 3 days in Kuala Lumpur were spent eating, shopping and seeing the aquarium and zoo. Chris and Ceiba had a day at the zoo alone, as with the heat, Avocet and I opted for a long nap and packing. The zoo hasn't been updated since the 60s, but still filled an afternoon for them. We all had a good vacation!
