Surprise Valletta Festa

Malta is vibrant with festas all summer. They are festivals for the patron saints of the parishes in each village in Malta. Generally festivities last a week, with the statues coming out of the church by parade and returning by parade, with events, fireworks, food, mass and many things in between.

We were with friends in August, downtown in old Valletta, when we walked upon a festa beginning in full swing with music, confetti and activity. Nothing better than happening upon these great moments and taking it all in with friends!!
